Laos, also known as “Lane Xang” or “The Land of Million Elephants”, has a unique peaceful charm, adorned by the Mekong river like a piece of hidden treasure waiting to be discovered by travelers from near and far. Laos is the only South East Asia country without a sea border. It borders with China in the North, with Cambodia in the South, with Myanmar in the North West, and with Thailand in the West.

Laos has 3 main seasons:

- The hot season (from March to May) where the temperature can reach up to 40°C.

- The rainy season (from May to October) with a temperature of approximately 30°C.

- The dry season (from November to March), with little to no rain and a temperature of approximately 15°C, and can be as low as 0°C in the mountain region at night. This is also the festival season of Laos, and is considered the ideal time to visit.
